A note written by Michael Jackson in which he complains of being unable to sleep has been withdrawn from auction at the request of the late singer's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, the auction house said on Wednesday.
Jackson, who died in 2009 after asking his doctor to give him a powerful anesthetic to help him sleep, wrote the note to Presley sometime between 1993-1996, when they were close friends. The two later became husband and wife.
"Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally (sic) in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first Im'(sic) crazy for you," reads the handwritten note, scrawled on yellow paper.
Julien's Auctions, which had listed the letter in an upcoming celebrity memorabilia sale, said on Wednesday it pulled the note from its Music Icons auction on June 23rd and 24th at Presley's request.
While its a great gesture to take it out of the auction bin...its already been publized so much...that the privacy has been breached.

the letter is important message but not for sale!. mj will not want that this is happining. money? sell? and the message to the people?

Some things are sacred and should be kept private that is unless the writer of the letter has no objection of course... ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm confused, did this letter ever reach, Lisa? If so how did it end up on the auction block anyway?,or was it to be given to Lisa, by someone,? or was she there,? and if not, it makes no sense to me, was Michael, delusional, thinking and writing out loud, his feelings for someone, who's no where around, and If she did have possession, of it, what seem to be more of a note, than a letter, this note/letter you think would be kept, with her personal things, not his, and I have another question, how, would anyone know, when this note was written,and that Michael, wrote it after being filled with anesthesia, the note doesn't state that,unless someone was there, and witness this, how would they no, and frankly I just can't believe, Michael, would write something that personal, and leave it laying around for anyone to find, being such a private person and all, I'll say it again makes no sense to me, and if Lisa, did have possession of the note, how could she, and why would she, make this note public, if she love him as much as she says she does, and yes even if a person love you, doesn't mean they won't hurt you, but that person would never hurt you intentionally, if they, truely love you.
