The Heart of Davy Jones

Is it Death, or a pirate's life for thee?
Do you fear death, and forever let me keep your soul?"
Most give in for fear of the unknown.
Forever enslaved to do their Captain's will.
Forever tortured with their own self hate and guilt,
cowardice has led them hear
This is the curse of Davy Jones.
But his punishment,
for betraying the one he loves;
well, she is his final judgement.

Calypso, gypsy of the night,
now Queen of the sea.
He made a promise,
she knew he could not keep.
So she cursed him forever to be,
the reaper of souls in this tumultuous sea.
Only once in seven years was he ever to come to shore,
to see his beloved Calypso once more.
and when he did not come
a monster he would become
It is said that she hid his heart,
locked up in a wooden box.
and only a magic key,
could open the lock.
As long as she had it,
he was forever bound.
She owned his soul,
until his heart was found

No, death would never come
to the Captain of the Flying Dutchman,
as long as his heart was safely hidden away.
But the one who stabs it, they say,
well, he shall take his place

  1. This is very profound insight, to someone's soul, being own by another, and how would one go about gaining possession of the magic key, to unbound his heart, especially when he was only allowed to come ashore, only once in seven years, is the question? Love you
