Phineas Taylor Barnum aka P.T.Barnum (July 5, 1810 - April 7, 1891). He was among other things an American buisness man, author, showman, politician and remembered for promoting famous and celebrated hoaxes. He funded a circus that later became Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baileys Circus.
In the 1830's he purchased the Scudder's American Museum and remamed it to Barnum American Museum. He used the museum as a platform to promote hoaxes and human curiosities. In 1842 Barnum introduced his first major hoax, Feejee mermaid with a head of a monkey and the body and tail of a fish. ""Barnum described his hoaxes and justified the act of perpetrating them by saying they were "advertisements to draw attention...to the Museum"" The Museum was in New York. In 1866 Barnum released the book "The Humbugs of the World.

Dave Dave appeared on the Larry King Live Show, that aired very soon after Michael Jackson’s “death”.
It has been speculated that the person that appeared on Larry King Live could have actually been Michael in disguise, and not the real Dave. Interestingly Dave has went by other names throughout his life, David Rothenburg, David Jordan Robinson, David Tothenburg and Dave Dave He legally changed his name to David Jordan Robinson after two basketball players who befriended him: Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan and the San Antonio Spurs' David Robinson... Here is the video for you to make your own conclusion.
As with all conspiracy theories, if you believe in it – if you believe that you are in the know and can smell the truth that others cannot – it is unlikely you will be swayed by anyone outside your group. Sure, you are as blinkered in your own desire to be right, but, then, you know the truth.
You will pick bits of evidence that support your theory – however small – and overlook the welter of evidence against.

You only need to watch the above video again and it is so Michael. Not that I can see Michael there with a lot of fantasy and imagination. I see him like he is without mask. I see nothing and no one but Michael. The way he moves his eyes, the way he moves his head. The way he looks when he is interrupted. The way he plays with his lower lip. The way he sits back after he said what people need to understand about him (check 4:10). The way he throws back his head (check 0:53).
The white under his iris, the size of his nose.
Let alone his voice and the way he says some specific words like I never heard anyone talk but Michael.
Aside from the michaelness of Dave I find Miko very suspicious, too. He smiles like he is hiding something imo plus he doesn't look into the camera a lot.
No, when I watch this video there is really not much space for a doubt of whom I'm looking at and whom I'm listening to.
Do we all remember David Rothenberg (Dave Dave) also known as Michael Jackson in “disguise” from Larry King Live, and the Leeza Gibbons Talk show?
Dave was set on fire by his Father in 1983 and was severely burned; Michael then befriended Dave Dave and paid for most of his surgery!
Now we can all see some resemblance between Dave Dave and Michael!
Why is it that in each interview Dave looked different?
Isn’t it when someone is burned their scars do last for a while?, so why is it that Dave had a lot of scars on the Larry King show, and had a little on the Leeza show, as if he was hiding it.
Here are some differences in both interviews:
Larry King Live:
-Dave Dave was very confident, and spoke with confidence!
-He had brown eyes!
-Broad shoulders!
-Many scars as to show he was a burned victim!
-Very bulged eyes!
-No eye brows!
Leeza Gibbons Talk show:
-Dave seemed down!, low self-esteem!
-Blue eyes!
-Very skinny figure!
-Much make up to cover up his true face!
-Eye lids are half way closed!
-Colored in eyebrows!
It seems that this is all an illusion, how is it Dave from Larry King Show has so many burned scars on his face, but on the Leeza show his face is very clear?, these interviews are months apart, and Remember Dave was burned at the age of 7, so how is it he healed so fast for the two different interviews, when most burn victims deal with lifetime scars?
It also seems the Dave from Larry King wants us to know he is a burned victim, while the one on Leeza show is hiding it very well with make-up
I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never heard of someone’s birth features change when they are burned, except for scars!

The eye color change from blue to dark brown and back to blue........ and there is a different in the eyelashes. The one with brown eyes have longer and darker eyelashes. Another thing that changes in his face is the skin and the lips...

This photo appeared on TMZ right after the burial on September 3rd. Right from the start the photo appeared photoshopped to us, because it's almost impossible to get such a clear shot of Mike while Dave Dave appears so out of focus, even when the camera is set to spot meeting:
This photo must have been taken at the same moment, but look at the person sitting behind Miko – That is NOT Dave Dave! Notice that the partial face of this man is way less out of focus as Dave Dave's on the previous picture. The way this person is photographed is the way an original photo would turn out.
Now what would be the purpose of shopping Dave Dave into the car with Miko..? Miko arrived at the burial alone, while he was on Larry King Live together with Dave Dave. They traveled to the burial separately, but traveled to the memorial dinner together..?

Throughout Michael Jackson’s life he had a deep impact on many. But one little boy in particular, recalls just what Michael did for him, and to this day still supports Michael, and the kind of person he encountered.
David Rothenberg changed his name. In 1996
Dave Dave who was born David Rothenburg, changed his name in order to have his own identity and to get away from using the name of his abusive father. He was burned by his father at the age of 6 in a hotel room that his father set fire to. During the years he has endured many surgeries and procedures to help correct the damage, due to 90% of his body being burned in the incident. Michael Jackson befriended him as a youngster, and had stayed a long standing friend through the years. Somewhere inside they both understood each other on a level no one else did, strengthening their friendship. With this kind of bond, I am sure they might have done anything they could for each other.
Dave’s words about Michael:
“He heard about me and contacted me. He wanted to meet me, I was about 7 years old at the time (so Michael should have been about 16 then). He befriended me, he took me into his life. He opened up his arms to me and accepted me as a very good friend of his. And throughout the years he never let me go. Michael was like a father to me.”
“I turned around and there was Michael. At that moment we embraced and that embrace never ended throughout our whole entire friendship.”
“I believe what people fail to realize is that Michael was a human being. Throughout the years he was kind of stigmatized by the media.”
“He has been my friend throughout everything that I’ve been through. And he’s my only friend that I can say that’s been there for me always. He’s really had an impact on my life – not because his is a celebrity. Because he’s been through kind of the same thing as I’ve been through.”
“He was a great person. He never hurt a soul and I’m happy to have been his friend all these years. Michael offered a lot of emotional support for me. Michael was there for me whenever I needed to talk to him. He opened up Neverland to me as a means to get away. Metaphorically he was always like a father that I never had.”
“It was quite an amazing experience. There was a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there was Michael. Our relationship started with a hug, a hug that never ended. Michael Jackson was like a father figure for me. He gave me a lot of advice, he showed me a lot of things about the world. He really was a source of emotional support for me. 2009 at London’s O2 Arena, fans were certain they were in the presence of a living legend. With all this, speculation is now running rampant that the person they got to cheer for and applaud was not even Michael to begin with, but a very convincing look-alike ...

However, if the chin is not enough to prove that the person on stage was not Michael, then there is the question of his voice, which was, according to Harris, too bassy to be Jackson’s. And that of his walk, which suddenly seemed more hunched – a strange thing for such a skilled dancer as Michael is.
The walk, an awkward, loping stride. He paused momentarily beside a golf cart, probably assuming it was going to take him into the arena – but was ushered in on foot. Next, the voice. The few words he stumbled over at the microphone had far more bass than many expected. If you closed your eyes you would surely have had trouble identifying him as the more familiar, childlike 50-year-old. Trouble is, surgery and image enhancement mean that few people really know what MJ will look like when they meet him.
According to this theory, and many others circulating freely on the Internet, Michael himself decided to go for a double for the press announcement either because of a tumble he had taken only hours before (which was caught on tape), or because he was too ill to attend. Canceling the announcement was not, understandably, an option on account of the fact that many fans and reporters had already gathered for it
I would suggest anyone who thinks that was the "real" Michael take the time to look at home videos and then you can see that what I am saying is true.
It is NOT Michael. A smile is a very personal thing and this "look alike" was NOT Michael.
