Recently a teacher yelled at a student for speaking their mind about how they feel about Obama. Is this a violation of our first amendment? Our first amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.
So in simple terms, we can say whatever we like as long as it is done in a non threatening way! Was this teacher threatened? So what is this teaching our children? Shouldn’t children be able to speak what they think, even in school? Wake up people…this is how we are being conditioned to follow their orders! We are losing our rights.
