September 11 2001 two airplanes crashed in to World Trade Centers twin towers in New York. There was a third airplane that hit Pentagon just outside the capital city Washington DC. A fourth airplane that is believed was heading for either the White House or United States Capitol where the congress have their meetings crashed in a field of Pennsylvania since passengers could retake control of the plane. In the news it was to be read that all planes were hijacked to crash in to four of the most important buildings in United States. Soon it was said that the one that was behind the attacks was Osama Bin Laden. He denied this for years but in in 2004 he admitted it was him that was in charge for the operation. Since September 11 2001 there have officially been a war to catch the ones that was responsible for the attacks and to prevent new terrorist attacks. The number of people that died from the attacks are in total 3,497 and most of them are civilians.

At 9:37 American Airlines flight 177 hit Pentagon and in betweet that the north tower already had been hit. At 5:20 the same night three of the towers had collapsed from the crashes and pentagon was damaged. Among the people that died from the attacks there were also many firefighters, rescueworkers law enforcement and all the passengers on all flights. In total there were 19 hijackers on the four planes.

Pentagon was rebuilt within a year but the two towers in New York is still not rebuilt. Today there is a monument at the place that is two black holes in the ground where the towers used to be.
The planes that were hijacked were all American Airlines and there have conspiracy theories spread about what really happened and who did it. There have been lots of warnings signs about that something was going to happen and the conspiracy theories all have someone to blame. The main topic maybe should be: How could we let this happen?
