It Doesn't Matter...Black Or White

There is no hiding that over the last 30 years Michael Jackson’s skin had lightened to an pale white. Caused by an autoimmune disorder called Vitiligo, there is no cure for this disorder, there are only treatments to help blend the pigments of the skin. Your own body destroys the pigment of your skin. Your immmune system is at war with the very body it lives in. Think about that for a minute, something that is totally out of your control, you have no power but to accept it. Michael admitted that he had a skin condition and that it started around the time of "Off The Wall" and it had continued to get worse throughout the years. I am sure he was very self conscious of how it distorted the color of his skin.

What if it was you? In the public eye, wouldn't you want to look "normal"? That is all Michael wanted in so many areas of his life. But why did the public put such an emphasis on the color of his skin? Why was that so important to point out a disorder that he had absolutely no control over? Because it made him different, in what way though? We all “appear” different! Those that didn’t understand the affliction decided to just make it weird! Its not…. it is a medical condition, people come on educate yourselves just a little. This is part of the problem with us, we are so narrow minded that we will judge a person for what we see and not what we don't see.

Michael said, he was proud to be a African American. So why would he want to change his heritage? No matter how you look at it, he is and will always be an African American. In this day and age, I would have thought that we would all be past what color someone’s skin, eyes or hair. We have more to worry about as a human race. Let’s band together and focus on important things, on what really affects our very lives. We are all in this together no matter whether we like it or not, it is what it is. Remember real love is blind.

  4. amen. why would he have lied? He has always tried to be himself and no one else.he got along with people from all walks of life. I certainly understand his feelings on the condition because I too have a condition that makes me very pale in some places and feel rather insecure. His beauty was more than just handsome good looks; his beauty came from within. Who cares what the world thinks! Michael Jackson ....L.O.V.E.. beLIEve..

  5. Michael's true beauty emanated from within. His beauty goes beyond his handsome appearance. I too have a condition that makes me very pale in places sometimes and I feel insecure so I understand. Who cares what other people think. He never tried nor said he wanted to be anyone else nor any other color. Too bad the powers that be and the media keep the races fighting. We can look past the physical and see people for who they are inside. Michael did that. And he did it well.

  6. The only reason why Michael was put on the spot for this was because he grew with us, he was like the worlds own baby, we saw him go from a little boy to the man he became!,i honestly didn't even notice his changing,i just saw a light skinned brother. I mean look at the babies who have mixed parents but are black and their skin tone is just like Michaels, believe me people make fun of them too, what I am trying to say is hes not the only Black male who is being made fun of because of his skin tone, its just human nature, its part of the human culture to make fun of someone if they don't look like the ordinary race!, whether it being, Black,Mexican,Middle eastern,Asian..etc!, you will be made fun of, and so Michaels was in the spotlight because well he's "Michael Jackson"..the man the whole world knows about!..so that is why he was talked about so much!!, nothing against Michael personally in my opinion, if you look at it its the tabloid people who did the make fun of, the legit news stations didnt!, and fans and Michael, and his family should have been used to this stuff, its the same ignorant people who called him "wacko Jacko"..etc!..bla bla!
When i look at Michael i truly see a black male,..he has everything , I MEAN EVERYTHING (lol) a black male has just with white skin..oh and one more thing, people including media see most black folks as "bad" and "negative" and "curser", but Michael was none of that so thats another reason they said what they did say about MJ...i honestly pay no attention what so ever to anything bad about Michael, cause i know Michael..i will shut someone up if they talk about him to me personally but otherwise, its a "get a life" thing to them!
I think the fans are bringing the negativity mentioned about Michael more to the light than the media itself to be honest, if we hush up about it, they will shut the "F" up...themselves!
Everybody talks good about Michael Jackson, the only thing they talk bad about now is his supposed "drug use", and that is cause of his death and autopsy..that is it!
i don't see why people are not realizing that nobody "hates" Michael!!.."i dont get it, makes no sense" lol(my words again lol)

  7. Personally, I think Michael was Great.. very Great.. very Worthy.. and that He has taught a Wisdom...a Humility.

He was charged of bleaching her skin, and deny its origin. :( It's a baseness on the part of its journalists who have only search titles of scandals.
But what more BIG scandal to make money, on the disease & the misfortune of others?

Michael has shown.. proven.. unveiled... his torso, his arms, his hands, his fingers, his face on photos...He has never hidden his illness.

He has showed that even the brightest Stars.. despite an overcast cloud (lies, defamation of the press)... could continue to shine in the Celestial Vault... and that, despite this disease that has unjustly struck Him... with Love... we could overcome everything.

Personally, I think that if I was a Star of the song, to see my own skin change colour & create important physical disorder... I don't know how I would have continued my career... Think.. ur face.. ur arms.. ur body... as if something go off you... you arent the same... you arent as your Mom make you... you lost something about you... and during the transformations... How to face to the others? (I dont know if i explain well what I feel abt...) ....

I think/know He suffers of this disease in himself.. His life isn't the same as ours.. It must not be easy to never go under the sun & dont feel its warmth... always hiding from the Sun... the source of the life.

Deep inside... I THINK MICHAEL WAS GREAT... TO FACE TO HIS DISEASE in front of his fans♥
    A great lesson of life...

I LOVE YOU MICHAEL...Black or White is not the matter...
The Matter is your Heart and your Soul...they are WONDERFUL.

  8. I knew of this skin condition, long before Michael, informed the world that he suffered from this condition, I had a school mate who had this skin condition, so was well educated, about the skin disorder, but the personality she had over shadowed her skin condition, she was very out going, and popular, she did not let her suffering from vitiligo, stop her from succeeding, she was a great inspiration, to me and others, because she really didn't let her skin condition, determine her worth, and I so Admire Michael, for these same reasons, the courage I could only imagine it took, for him to come out, and have to tell the world, of his skin disorder, being in the public eyes most of his life is unreal, and He is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, In and Out,I don't care what color he is. Love You Michael, and Love You!
